Palindromes are words that run backwards. These words read the same both backward and forward. They are also known as Sotadics, named after a Greek Poet, Sotades. The word ‘Sotadics’ is an eponymous word. (Words that are named after a person/event are known as eponymous words). A few examples of Palindromes are given below:
